Farm fresh lunch

Jenni

I just want to brag about the lunch I just packed for myself. On Saturdays, DH and I go to our local farmers market. This time around we got amazing tomatoes, cucumbers, garlic, strawberries, and a sourdough baguette. So last night, following the advice from a recent NYtimes recipe, I broiled the tomatoes, cut up the cucumbers and garlic, and threw it all into my food processor along with some stale sourdough, olive oil, salt and pepper, and coriander. Chilled that over night, and just poured it into my thermos with a side of ricotta cheese in a little container. Gazpacho for lunch! With a side of strawberries. We also have fancy marcona almonds so I packed some of those too, and being 15 weeks pregnant I also packed three double dark chocolate Milano cookies. Everything is on ice. Perfect lunch for a hot summer day in NYC!
