I've been 45 minutes away from my hospital this whole pregnancy. There's a hospital 20 minutes away from my house but its notorious for being terrible so we don't mind the drive. (Even though my husband works at the awful hospital lol)

Thats totally your call. If you love your doctor, then I wouldnt switch. But if you dont love your doctor, then it is not too late to switch to one that is closer. At 22 weeks I switched from a hospital that is 20 minutes away to one that is almost an hour and I am so glad I did. It was the best decision ever. So I would say it depends on the doctor and how you feel with them. If you love your doctor, then they are worth the drive and youll be perfectly fine.

I’m about 45-50 minutes away from my hospital also, and don’t plan on switching because the hospital we are going to is better than the one that’s 5 minutes from our house. Though it obviously does happen, the chances of delivering in the car are pretty slim.

Depends on how much you like your doctor. That's honestly not a bad drive. I am 50 miles from my hospital. And its one of the closest ones to our house.

If yes an emergency as far a bleeding or concerns during pregnancy or labor you can always go to the nearest hospital but that distance should be fine. Just might be a little tough of a ride in early labor.

I’m an hour away from my hospital because it’s better than the two that are 25-30 minutes away. I would stick it out unless the hospital you’re closer to is better or just as good.

We don't have a hospital in my town so I'll be 45 min or so from my dr and hospital. It's not a big deal I was that far when I delivered my daughter too and had no issues getting there... in fact I really should have waited longer to go in, it was a looong labor but I was worried being so far and it being my first baby.

I was 1 hour away from my doctor with my first. We lived in Hawaii and had to drive around the island to get there. Yes a two lane road with the speed limit of 35 mph and tourists that can’t drive lol. You’ll be fine. If you like your doctor stick it out. If not its okay to change.
