9 month olds head 99th percentile? 😐

So my daughter since birth has had a head that’s 95th percentile but the last 2 visits it has went up to 99th. Doctor wants to run tests. I’m freaking out even though her dad has a huge head and as a baby has to have tests and he was fine. The thing I don’t get is her head doesn’t even look big? I’ve never gotten a comment on her head and it doesn’t look abnormal to her body to me. Just wondering what you guys think?

It definitely doesn't look big. I was staring at her and the only thing I noticed is how beautiful she is 😍😍

My son's head is also 99. Doc said he will just be a big boy. I also have a huge head.

My son’s head is waaay off the charts. He’s had multiple visits with a pediatric neurologist, MRI, and an EEG. Everything has come back completely normal. His dad also has a rather large head (as does the rest of his dad’s side of the family). 
Chances are baby just has a large head like daddy.

Going up 4% doesn’t seem that bad. It’s not like she was at 50 and went up to 99. I personally think your doctor is overreacting a bit but they’re probably have to run tests to cover their butts. My daughter has always been 93-97 and her doctor hasn’t ever been concerned.

i have exactly the same concern! My baby's head has never been on the same percentile! He started on the 50th and now is between the 91st and 98th 🥴 our health visitor keeps requesting us to go to drop ins for measurements to be taken but the fact we're having regular measurements concerns me. They all say how he looks in proportion and not to worry as hes just bigger - was 8lb 14oz at birth and now weighs 16lbs (15 weeks 4 days)

Literally the difference between the percentages is minuscule. My son's head was 96% at a year for head size and my daughter was 80% and it was the difference of less than 1/4". You also have to consider the person who is measuring. It may not be consistent
