Induction is set for Thursday. I will be 39 weeks and 3 days. Baby #3.

First born I was in labor for 7 hours, and had an epidural.

Second born I was in labor for 3 hours, with no time for the epidural.. Doctor is encouraging me to get the epidural before we even start the induction process.

I am not sure I want to get the epidural. I'm terrified of the pain I'm facing. Because I know exactly how terrible it will get. But I'm expecting it to be quick. The pain I had in the hours/days/even years after my epidural with my first born was worse than the unmedicated labor with my second.

The doctor says that with it going so fast last time he is worried that if something other than what's planned happens (stitches/ problems with placenta delivery) I will be forced to experience all of that additional pain...

Someone please help! 🤔💭😔
