What’s going on?

So, ladies I need some help, this is kinda a gross one, i got the implant 3 months ago and it’s really kicked with my period, this may be old blood but I get dark brown discharge- a lot of it and i really don’t like it, could anyone tell me what it could be and if I can prevent it xo, I wash everyday and stuff like that so I don’t believe hygiene is a problem- I can add a photo if needed but didn’t wnat to gross you out too much xxx

I don't really have any advice here. When I was in high school not too long after I got on birth control I started having random brown spotting throughout my cycle. Sometimes it was just a little but and sometimes it was a lot. Little TMI here so skip this if you want but I remember messing around with a guy I was dating and he started fingering me but when he pulled his hand out of my pants and looked he was like "oh god! Why didn't you tell me I was in the wrong hole?!" He thought it was poop and he has actually stuck his finger in my butt. 🤣 I mean to be fair it really did kinda look like poop but it was definitely just the old blood brown discharge. I tried telling him that and he did not believe me.
I never found anything that worked to stop it with the exception of changing birth control. My doctor said something about how the pill I had been on not being strong enough or something so she changed me to one with a higher dose of hormones that that stopped the random spotting. I know sometimes with implants and IUDs spotting for a month or two tends to just be part of the process and it eventually goes away for most ladies.
