First Time Sex

Me and my boyfriend tried to have sex for the first time but stopped because it hurt to put it in. I googled it and it said that I wasn't ready for it and that he had to go through my hymen. I googled pictures and then looked at my vagina and I literally don't see any hole for a penis to go into. please help?
