Stopping BC and Late Periods

Hi all, so in May I stopped my BC (Lo Loestrin) for a few weeks since until I could get a refill, but when I tried to go back on it in June I realized how lousy it made me feel that month and decided to quit it as I’m not sexually active. Now my period is 12 days late from predicted start and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced that much irregularity or how quickly they’ve gone back to a normal cycle after stopping BC?
