Does your baby hate your bedtime routine or is it just me?? 😫

So I try to do a routine during bedtime. Play, read books and song but by thr time I sing to him...I think he gets anxiety that I'm going to put him down in the crib. He get anxious and squirms and cries. Is this normal to some mommies? I feel terrible. I always hear or see videos with sweet bedtime routines and their babies are calm and sleepy and sweet. Sigh...

Same here...I feel terrible like I’m doing something wrong. We do a bath and then lotion and jammies. Once the lotion and jammies start he’s crying and is very unhappy. Then he takes his last bottle in the dark (he’s happy now) but when we get up from the rocker to start getting ready to go in the crib, he starts screaming and failing and pushing me away and arching his back. I’m trying to just take a few minutes to hold him but he’s not having it. So I’ll just skip the rocking/holding and put him in his crib, because I’m like, clearly you don’t want me to hold you, but then I put him down and he still screams. So I don’t know why?! He does it at nap time too. Ay ay ay 🤦‍♀️

At what point do you feed him during the routine? If you feed them first, then that helps a lot. Eases the fussiness a lot because they are anticipating the food/bottle haha

Starting to, just recently!😩he’ll whine mostly but if he’s overtired he’ll cry some when we get to his room before naps as well.
