Coming off progesterone?!

Question

Took my last progesterone vaginal suppository last night at 12w1d. Does anyone have any insight as to what to expect now? Is the baby going to be ok? Do I need to expect bleeding? We had our nuchal scan yesterday and things couldn’t look any better in there but I can’t help but worry 😫

You’ll be fine. You were on progesterone because your ovaries weren’t making enough of it to support the baby, but after the first trimester the placenta takes over, which is why they have you stop then. I had no problem coming off them, in fact I was so over it because of the crazy discharge.

I had some brown spotting after I quit the progesterone suppositories. I'm 37 weeks now and everything is fine.

I was on progesterone shots and my doctor had me stop at 10 weeks. I had no symptoms and the placenta took over! There can be cramping I believe. I’m not sure about bleeding though. I would just call your doctor if you feel something you’re uncomfortable with.
