Nexplanon - Recommendations??

My doctor has recommended this method of birth control to stop my periods. I have been on a continuous method of the pill for about 3 years now, but it is no longer effective. 
Nexplanon sounds like an ideal method for me, but I have also seen horror stories of trying to dig it out or terrible side effects to it. 
What is your experience with it?

Mine and my stepsisters implant did get stuck but they had to work with it a little bit it wasn’t majorly imbedded in my arm or anything. But there is no guarantee it will stop your periods. I got it for that reason at first my periods were normal then they started happening more frequently like every other week then I had a 9 week long period! Not trying to scare you but everybody is different. One of my sil had her period the same and another didn’t have a period at all!

Heck NO. They can’t guarantee it’ll stop anything. Everyone’s body reacts different but one of the biggest side effects is unpredictable bleeding/spotting. You can’t control it and if you’re one of those people that bleed continuously, they give you HECK to take it out before you’ve had it atleast 3 months. Some people do amazing on it- most don’t. I would NOT take the chance again. The possible side effects are not worth the POSSIBILITY of it stopping your periods. I have ONE word for Nexplanon: NIGHTMARE.
