Baby socks?

Question

God willing,  our baby will be born in November. That leaves quite a few months of bitter cold.
But I'm not sure I've ever seen a new born in socks? Does a newborn need them?  When do you put socks on a baby??
Am i crazy? Some of these socks are so cute! 😍

My daughter ALWAYS has something on her feet. Usually footed sleepers, or fitted pants . Not so much socks now that she’s 3 months old but as a newborn yes. The have a old wives tale that a baby who’s feet are always covered never get colic lol. And she never got colic 😅. But besides that, newborns have a hard time regulating body temp when they first come out so it doesn’t have to be sock, but I def recommend something covering their feet.

Feet hands and head get the coldest fastest so it’s a good idea to use socks! Unless you’re at home and even then you may need them sometimes

My babies were always in sleepers and wrapped in blankets while tiny during those winter months.  For this baby, I have tons of socks plus several pairs of zutanos 😂 my house is old and drafty so I want him kept warm!

My son wore them he was born in June. This baby will be born next week and I'm taking socks to the hospital with me to keep per warm. On a regular basis no she wont need them

Both my kids wore them. My daughter on her hands and feet bc she was a December baby. My son only wore them for along time. Hands and feet as well. He was born with cyanosis on his hands and feet. So they were always covered. Now he’s 16 months are refuses to wear socks and shoes.

My son never worse them, or my daughter. But they’re march & June babies.
