Are you feeding solids yet?

Question

I have tried a couple of different foods but he isn't interested so will be waiting a bit longer. I told that to another Feb baby mom I know and she was shocked like he is missing out on something. This same mother won't let her baby do tummy time in fear of her 10 year old jumping on the baby.
Comments appreciated if you have tried but baby hasn't taken to solids

we will be waiting until at least 6 months but for sure until he is sitting unassisted and interested in food. there’s no rush

My boy is 5.5mths. We put him in his high chair when we eat dinner and put some of our food in front of him to play with. He ends up eating most of it but it's not there as a meal. I put it there so i can eat in peace. And if we give him a spoon to play with he already knows which end to put in his mouth purely from observation 😂

We are waiting until she’s 6 months, but with that being said, she has tried a little banana... her dad was eating one and she literally grabbed it and pulled it into her mouth before we even realized what was happening. So I think she’s about ready... haha

We’re having some once a night but I’m really not pushing it at all. It’s kinda just fun right now.

We were planning on waiting until 6 months, but Grace decided right after she turned 4 months that she was ready.  She’s just over 5 months now and eats 3 ounces of puréed vegetables or fruit twice a day. When we introduce a new food, we stay on that food for 3 days to make sure she’s okay with it. She looks forward to eating and is really enjoying it.

some babies arent ready until 6+ months. my sons 5 months though (2/13/19) and will fight you if you dont share your food w/ him 😂 also if that ladies 10 year old jumps on her baby i would not listen to her parenting skills honestly my 3 & 4 year old have enough common sense not to jump on the baby 🤷🏽‍♀️😅

Yes, we aim for a twice a day. We’ve tried sweet potatoes, avocados, bananas.

My almost 5 month old eats baby oatmeal at breakfast and before her bath at night and she has puréed fruit/veggies two or three times throughout the day. I like to mix some in with her oatmeal too. She loooovvveeesss it.

Wanted to wait, but my mother in law kept giving him samples while she was eating. Now he gets seriously pissed off if you don't share.
