Clomid versus Femara
So despite financial setbacks my husband wants us to continue with fertility plans since it's been two and a half years since we decided we wanted to be parents.
Honestly with endo and one ovary that ovulates fairly regularly I am terrified of the drugs. I don't want to lose my last ovary to becoming a giant cyst and hemmorhaging/twisting like my last one did without drugs. But I realize with one ovary the medicine would make sure I get good follicles. In the last year I didn't get an LH surge twice and at least once I got the surge but did not ovulate according to bbt.
On the internet the consensus seems to be that Clomid thins your lining but is cheap. Femara is not FDA approved because it's a breast cancer medicine. But people tend to think its side effects are milder than Clomid. It also flushes out of your system by the time an egg implants while Clomid does not. Has anyone used both? Please tell me your experiences. I am currently leaning toward Femara if insurance will knock down the price.
