My baby started getting acne maybe around 3ish months and got two on either cheek. I left them alone via the pediatricians instructions and they went away but left what looks like red scarring. Now he just turned 7 months and he still has raised red bumps on his cheeks, some of which look like scarring from previous breakouts.

My daughter had a few mild spots when she was a baby but they always went away and there was no trace. Any idea what this might be or what I can do? I’m worried this will not go away and is actually scarring for good.
