Should she have gotten out of prison early?

This is Cyntoia Brown, she was sentenced to life in prison at age 16 for shooting and killing a man who bought her for sex while he was asleep, and supposedly robbing him afterward (although I don’t have all my facts regarding that detail)

She’s now served 15 years and will be released next month.

I’m seeing lots of controversy on this because people are saying she didn’t need to kill the man, he was asleep when she shot him. Another side says, she was forced into sex trafficking at a young age and had had enough.
