Formula fed baby eating more often?

I’ve always heard about cluster feeding with breastfed babies. Is this a thing for formula babies too? My son has been eating 3 ounce bottles since he was about 2 weeks old he is now 7 weeks old. Should I increase his bottles to 4 ounces?

If he seems to be still hungry after the taking a 3 oz bottle u can try doing 4 ozes and see if his lil stomach and can hold it.. my lil man is 3 weeks old and has being doing 2 to 3 ozes some times he wont tske the 3 and some times he will..

It’s normal for them to increase their intake as they age. My son started at 3oz and we bumped it to 4 when he was 3 weeks old. This is a guide that was from my hospital. Keep in mind that it is only a guide
 but it can help you see what may be more normal and how their formula intake will increase.

Yes! A baby will always tell you when they aren’t getting enough. If he starts eating more frequently, I’d bump it up by a half oz at a time and go from there.

If he is wanting to eat more frequently I would increase it by half an ounce and see how he does. If he spits up a lot after it was too much of he seems happy it was enough. Just go with your gut and do what you think is best. When my son was 7 weeks old he was taking 4.5 oz.
