Bedtime for 6 1/2 month old

What’s a normal time for a baby this age to go to bed? Our normal nighttime routine doesn’t seem to be working anymore. Normally she would go to bed anytime between 7-7:30, but the past 4-5 nights she’s fighting us when we put her down. It’s almost 8:30 before she will actually fall asleep. My mom keeps telling me I’m putting her to bed way to early, because when I was a baby she put me to bed anytime between 9-11; which In my opinion is way to late at this age! Just wondering what time everyone else puts their baby down for the night. Thanks!
