35 weeks pregnant

So I’m 35 weeks pregnant and went in today for a scheduled NST. Three contractions occurred while on the monitor like 7-9 minutes apart. But the doctor said she wasn’t concerned so she didn’t check to see if I had began to dilate. I go to the doctor again on Friday and more than likely she’ll check me then. She did say if I felt a big gush “water break” to get to the hospital. I felt a really nice contraction this morning prior to going to doctors appointment. TMI but last night I went to the bathroom several times for number 2 and again this morning. I informed the nurse of this as well. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think the time is getting really close?
