Whenever someone asks me about the birth of my son - I will remember it was INTENSE!!!

It was brutal tbh!! Just with everything the last month!! I had bruised ribs from baby starting at 36 weeks and had a lack of sleep/nutrition from the nausea!!! So I have a lot more stories about being in and out of the triage at labor and delivery etc. but our BIRTH story goes like this!!

I started having contractions every 10-15 minutes on Sunday night so I didn’t sleep at ALL! Plus I started puking up even water - so yesterday around 6am the contractions got to be every 5 or so minutes and I hadn’t eaten anything in like 12 hours that didn’t come back up so I knew I was dehydrated and I was SO miserable so we came down to Roseville! I was STILL 3.5cm like I had been for 2 weeks 🙃 so the doc swept my membranes again, gave me some nausea medicine and a couple bags of fluids, and said to go walk around for a little, I only made it like 30 min before I puked again! Ugh!! So I went back, and I started contracting every like 3-5 minutes! So this AMAZING doctor basically mercy admitted us even though I wasn’t 4cm and only 39 weeks and a day!! 🙏 I could have kissed her!!

We got all set up and we started pitocin around 6pm at this point, I went from 3.5 to 5.5 by 1am but I was SO nauseous from the pitocin I was throwing up still so that’s when we did the epidural!! Which saved my life basically 🙌 I was able to sleep for like 2.5-3 hours and when they came to check me at 5:30am I had progressed to 9.5!!!! 🎉🎉 so we turned down the pit and started pushing around 6:15!! Pushing was INTENSE I have never felt like that before, the last 3-4 sets of 3 pushes they put me on oxygen and I legit had a moment of “idk if I can do this!!!” But then 7:56, they put this perfect little angel on my chest and I swear I didn’t even feel her doing my stitches or the placenta or anything!!!!! ♥️ Such an incredible feeling! My mom and doula and Tyler were all amazing and we are just obsessed with this perfect little man 😊
