IUI is it worth it?

Question

Who here has done iui and has had a good success with it? My husband and I are
Considering doing it but I’m not sure how high the chances are. ?

It just depends. We have done 4 IUIs with no success;however, i have a friend who has had 2 children from doing 1 IUI for each.

I personally think it's worth it! We tried for five years and finally concieved on our second IUI! Definitely worth a try!

I believe the chances on unexplained infertility are 10-15% that’s what our doctor told us we are trying to iui and hoping one will work if not we are moving to ivfs

I think it's worth it but it depends on what is causing the infertility.  My husband and I conceived with our 1st iui (letrozole, ovidrel and progesterone after). He had low motility and morphology and I had low progesterone and a thin uterine lining.  If you haven't yet, get a good work up to see what the problem is and then give it a shot! I think you guys should try it! I had Endometriosis and my husband had slow swimmers and we just got pregnant on our third IUI. Baby dust to you!!

It’s worth a try if your hubs has enough sperm. If he has a severely low number your chances are  less than 5% per cycle. Endometriosis can also yield extremely low IUI success rates depending on the severity. Your tubes also have to be open to even make an IUI possible. 
The chances for unexplained infertility IUI success is 8-10% chance per cycle according to our RE. 
The chances are a little higher (up to 15-20% chance per cycle)  for ovulation disorders (like PCOS)  bc they give you meds to make you ovulate and that solves their problem.
