Hello ladies I’ve asked this before... but hopefully someone will give me guidance this time. I have a primary. We are doing testing next week to see what’s wrong with my hormones if anything. My husband tested his sperm and came back fine. Meaning I am the problem. However I have a 5 year old and an 8 year old. My periods used to be very heavy tho over the years they have gotten very light. My doctor said that wasn’t an issue. I’m also a little overweight however again my doctor said I am not overweight enough to cause any issues. I’d like to see a specialist. Currently I have a cheap crappy insurance but will be switching to an awesome one in August during open enrollment!!! Just switched jobs 6 months ago!

Now if I want to get in touch with an infertility specialist (my plan covers 15k) where do I go how do I get a doctor? What are my first steps? I’ve never seen a “good” doctor I have always had really crappy insurance. Any advice? How do I switch over everything? Please help guide me I feel like an idiot haha

Edit- my primary was the only one who would do the testing. My gyno gave me a pap said everything was fine and sent me on my way despite what I tried to tell her. My primary actually listened! Like I keep saying my insurance now sucks and without a referral from a doctor with specific reasons certain testing is not covered. So instead of spending the cash out of pocket my primary is saying it’s necessary for whatever reason so it will be covered. I can’t just switch gynos because most don’t take my insurance.
