Does anyone have tricare prime?

I'm trying to settle a little bet with my husband. How much is the co pay with tricare prime when you go to your ob? Do they charge you more than just the co pay or is that only tricare standard? Also, is it true that they don't cover gender determination ultrasounds? Thank you!

Actually thanks to the ACA, you no longer need a referral.

Also they do cover ultrasounds as long as they are done by your Ob or somewhere your ob sends you things like 4d ultrasounds are not covered

I worked verifying insurance for awhile and am also a marine spouse with tricare prime.
​Tricare prime has no co pays you just need to make sure you have a refferal from your primary care dr.
​Tricare standard is a co-insurance they cover 85% you're left to pay the 15 so say your bill was a 1000 your responsibility would be 150

If you're being referred to someone by your primary doctor you shouldn't have any copay at all.
