Potty training chaos

I’m about to lose my damn mind. I potty trained my three year old right before his third birthday, he did wonderful would pee and poop on the potty, on his own accord and everything. Fast forward three months he is now pooping his pants consistently, peeing in them as well. The only time he doesn’t is if he’s entirely naked, and well as you can imagine that doesn’t go over well in public. I have no idea what to do. We’ve set timers, asked him every hour, sat him on the potty every hour, continually asked where he needs to go to go potty, asked if he has to go potty. I’m at my limit and starting to get so frustrated. Any suggestions will help, literally cried the other day because it’s becoming such an ordeal.
