Nap time meltdown
Hi everyone - FTM here. My four month old is a pretty good sleeper. Naps consistently and sleeps 12 hours/night (up twice to eat). Recently she has been having COMPLETE meltdowns when it’s time for a nap. We usually start the process 90 minutes after she is awake and she definitely needs to sleep because after screams and tears she passes out. Not sleeping as long as I would like (usually 30 minutes) but wakes up happy.
Just not sure how to avoid the tears. I feel horrible and can’t even imagine putting her in crib when “drowsy” since I think she would absolutely lose it. She’s completely asleep when I put her in crib and if she wakes up during the transfer she screams and cries until I pick her up.
Any ideas? Is this a phase?
