Can I give my baby Pedilyte?

It’s so hot out here in Texas & I’m sure my baby is thirsty drinking warm breastmilk all day long. She is 5 weeks old.

No.. breast milk/formula gives them all the hydration they need right now. If you’re out in the heat just feed more often.

Definitely not. You could cause your baby to feel full and not drink enough breast milk essentially caused her to receive less nutrition than she needs.

You should only give them pedialyte via pediatricians orders at this age. Drink more water yourself so you know you’re good and hydrated and producing the best milk possible.

Milk is enough mom. I had the same question. If you pump you can refrigerate some if you want to give baby something cold. But they dont crave cold drink in the heat.
