How much is your car payment?

I’ve had a used car I bought awhile ago that I had to trade in, and had never had a car payment before. I got a 2019 Hyundai Sante Fe and the payment is ridiculous - $460, not including insurance. Is this typical? For some reason I imagined car payments much cheaper

I bought a new Mazda 6 in 2017 and put $9K down.
I pay $288 every month! I would’ve been paying more had I not put down what I did. 
I think what you’re paying sounds normal!

i have a 2015 Nissan and my payments are only $217. i put 6500 down payment though and the car was 17,000. did you put any money down on the car because that can effect if it’s high or not. also however long you got a loan for. usually the shorter the loan, the high the payment.

We were upside down on our previous vehicle, which we were paying $270/month for and now we pay $500/month for our 4Runner. Insurance is $100/month. To us it’s worth it to have a vehicle that we love and can fit everyone including our dog into

My husband and I don’t have any car payments and plan to keep it that way! We follow Dave Ramsey and plan on never going into debt again!!! It’s so freeing not having any of your paycheck go towards debt. Look into financial peace university and look up the 7 baby steps if you want more info.

I have a Nissan Altima 2015 and pay $296 and just bought my fiancé a hyduai genesis coupe $246 a month for his birthday. My car is almost paid off though. And he pays $319 for three cars for insurance.

That's not too bad. My husband bought a brand new Dodge Ram back in 2015, and his truck payment is $800/month, but it'll also be paid off fully in October. 
We don't buy vehicles unless we can pay them off in 5 years or less, so our payments are typically higher then average. 
When I had my truck, the payments were $600/month.

Mine is 280. I bought a 2017 Cruze with 19k miles last month. I financed through my bank that’s a credit union for $15,000.00 with an interest rate of about 3.6% which was much better than carmax and other finance places offered. My credit score is a 730. Because it’s the bank I financed through they take 140 out of each check and the amount is already deducted when my paycheck hits my account. I also paid for insurance 6 months up front through progressive so I didn’t have that extra bill.
