Tounge peircings?

I kinda want one but I have many questions. Does the ac piercing part hurt? Will I have a lisp? Will it ruin my teeth? Do they look ratchet?

It only hurts from 2nd to like 7th day, the piercing process itself doesn’t at all. You won’t have a permanent lisp, but you will have trouble talking for the first week. It will not ruin your teeth (unless you bite onto it really hard then yeah, you could chip a tooth.

For me, the only part of the actual piercing process that was slightly painful was the clamp to hold my tongue. I didnt even feel the needle go through, and once its in the piercer will release the clamp. When the jewelry is being put in you might feel some pressure but its over in 2 seconds. Oh and you will most likely drool lol, but dont worry almost everyone does a little. They will tuck paper towel in your shirt. You will likely have some trouble talking for the first week at least, but it gets better as your piercing heals 😊 as for your teeth if you have a metal bar or even surgical steel it can chip your teeth if you accidentally bite on it too hard, acrylic/plastic jewelry are a better option to protect your teeth. But make sure your piercing is totally healed before you go changing anything. The healing process you will need to be careful with what you eat for the first couple weeks especially. Avoid dairy, hot food, spicy food, & hard food like chips, toast etc.. Biting into a sandwich was pretty hard for me for the first week lol. Make sure you brush your teeth first thing in the morning, after every meal (or snack , whenever you know you wont be eating for a while, brush & mouth wash.) Your mouthwash must be alcohol FREE. I used Biotene for the first 2 weeks because its moisturizing & made my tongue feel more comfortable when it was sore. You will be sore, you will want to take pain medications for headaches & sore muscles. Because your body is healing this new piercing, the lymph nodes in your neck may swell (mine did, and I had a sore throat at the same time). If you smoke anything you should avoid it for as long as you can, same with alcohol. Im a drinker & a smoker, I went the first 2 weeks without smoking because i was scared of infection. Of course everyone is different so if you do decide to smoke or drink rinse well with alcohol free wash right after. If you are at work or out & about, carry a small water bottle with warm water & non iodized sea salt mixed in it, not too much salt though! Happy healing :)

mine didn’t bother me i accidentally ate bananas peppers the day i got it pierced & it burned but i was fine after that

they damage ur teeth if u wear metal jewelry. if the balls are plastic, it won’t damage them much
