Sore nipples

Is it more likely to have sore nipples a few days before or after missed period if pregnant? For those who have been pregnant before how soon did you experience sore nipples? My period is due Monday but since yesterday my nipples have been really sore which usually doesn’t happen to me. And yes I know it also could be pms symptom. Just curious to others and their experiences.
