Tips/What to expect for glucose test??

I’ve heard horror stories and good stories about the Glucose test :
Any tips or what to expect during and after?

It wasn't too bad, are you doing the 1hr or 3 hr?

Drink the orange drink, it tastes like a melted popsicle, and bring a big cold water bottle.

Just a drink the orange is the best one you’ll get. Just drink it til it’s gone the tests is not that serious as far as completing it. Some people get sick i didnt it made me crave sugar more i dont intake lots of sweets so that was my negative of it

Not a big deal. I had the red one. Tasted like overly sugared Hawaiian Punch. I finished it in 2 drinks (I think I had 5 minutes to do it). I felt fine after. Even had a frosty with lunch that day!

I personally hate the orange one I can barely drink it it tastes so nasty to me. I prefer the fruit punch. It wasn't to bad my second pregnancy I just felt sick to my stumic for a little while after. My first pragnancy I threw up within 6 minutes of drinking it and had to come back and do the 3 hour test.

It wasn’t nearly as bad as everyone made it seem.. just a weird sweet drink and an hour wait. I didn’t feel sick or light headed or any of those things people scared me about. I just had to pee a lot afterwards. I had the lime one, didn’t get to choose my flavor.

I didn’t mind it at all. I went to the lab, they gave me the drink (tasted like flat orange soda it was actually yummy!), went upstairs and waited for my dr to come do a checkup, and then after I had my checkup I went back down to the lab and they drew blood. Very easy. It made me a little jittery but that’s all!

If you like sweet stuff, especially orange soda it’s not that bad at all. It’s sugary. Mix of orange jello/orange soda flavor. I personally didn’t mind it. It was the blood work after that sucked
