2 year old birthday ideas

My son will be 2 on August 12th and im in a financial binde right now due to renewing my lease at our crappy apartment at the same time. I don't have any friends with kids his age and my idea of throwing him a big party is out the window due to that. I feel like such a failure as a mom for not trying more to meet ppl with kids my sons age so they can have play dates and so he's not bored with mommy all the time :( he is in daycare so he does see kids his age during the week and i am pregnant with his little brother or sister which makes me happy so he'll always have a friend but times like birthdays or random get togethers on the weekends get me stuck. Long story short.lol what should i do for my sons 2nd birthday on a bugdet and limited on guest to celebrate with besides family like grand parents and older cousins? 😥
