Is it appropriate for kids to attend Pride parades?

I’ve attended the parades in the past and they are highly sexual with phallic symbols, dildos, individuals wearing BDSM gear with no clothes on, etc. And numerous times I’ve seen many kids of all ages attend these parades and I’ve always wondered why these parades were so sexual. It may not be this way in all parades, but they definitely are in my city every year.

Do you think it’s appropriate for children and even young adolescents to attend?

Do you think the community should be more conscious about making it an all ages event?
