Second time moms - toddlers acting out?
I’m a second time mom - at roughly 26 weeks - with a three-year-old. Over the past two weeks my daughter has started not wanting to nap at daycare & started crying in the afternoon for mommy & daddy. She is happy in the morning at dropoff - she’s been going there a while - but all of a sudden not happy in the afternoons & her teachers have a hard time getting her to calm down. When I ask her she just tells me she was sad & “didnt want to be there that long” and wanted to come home. I’m not sure what to do. Think it’s baby related? Seems odd since baby is still so far away??
Separately she has developed a fear of rain over the past few weeks & we aren’t sure if it’s because they had to do shelter-in-place at daycare a while back due to a bad storm with tornado warnings or what. Coincidentally, afternoon storms set her off & that’s also about the same time of day she wants mommy & daddy.
Idk. I’m at a loss!! Hate to see her so sad. :(
