IUD implants

I have a birth control implant in my arm that is going to last me for 3 years. I haven't had a period since Christmas with it, I've recently become sexually active with my boyfriend and I'm scared I could possibly get pregnant and not know it even though we also use condoms. Is that possible if I haven't had a period in 9 months?
