Constipation after starting solids?

Question

Anyone else experiencing this? My EBF child used to go 5-6 times a day and now he hasn’t had a BM in 2 days. Pediatrician said to give baby juice but my baby won’t take it. I tried external stimulation and nothing. What can I try now? Nurse said to wait a few more days before a suppository.

Prunes, pears and peaches helped my daughter. We also gave her a little bit of water

Prunes and water. I give him water in a sippy cup. He’s still trying to figure it out so he doesn’t drink a ton but he does get a little and it seems to help a ton!

It’s normal! Mine went down to 1-2 BM a day when we went from breast milk to formula. And it got thicker when he started solids. I also noticed bananas tend to back him up a little. It’s ok to give them sips of water after a solid meal to help with digestion. Just not too much! I let him have less than an oz

Pears and prunes really help. Bananas and oatmeal really cause constipation in my LO. I stopped the oatmeal and just do bananas like once or twice a week maybe.  I've done miralax in her bottle and that seems to help a little as well.  Just a teaspoon in about 5 oz.
