Dogs sense labor or changes?

Question

I've heard a wives tale before that dogs can sense whenever labor is near or there is a change. Did anyone dogs start acting weird before you went into labor? My pomeranian chihuahua mix has been stuck up my fiances butt entire pregnancy until just a few days ago and now wont leave my side. I'm only 34 weeks so hoping wives tale is false.

My husbands German Shepherd did this with my first. We were living in an apt and his dog was at my in laws house. We were outside walking around and usually if my husband or MIL are around he wants nothing to do with me. My husband walked in a different direction and his dog started to follow but then looked back at me and came back and walked next to me nudging my hand. Went to the bathroom like an hour later and I had had my bloody show, had my baby girl the next morning. I didn’t feel any labor signs except seeing my bloody show. But I think his dog knew. It was the weirdest thing.

I’m was 40 weeks on Monday and since yesterday my dog is even more glued to me than usual. They’re funny little things
