How Common Are Missed Miscarriages?

Hi ladies. I’m currently 7w4d pregnant with baby #1. No previous pregnancies or miscarriages. I was really sick right at 6 weeks and now my morning sickness is gone and i don’t even feel pregnant. I haven’t had bleeding or cramping though. I hear people talk about missed miscarriages and it scares me. Does anyone know if these are common or not? Really concerned 🥺

Not sure specifically to a mmc, but one in four pregnancies end in a mc. With mine I had no typical symptoms I was having one. Still had all pregnancy symptoms with no cramping or bleeding. If my hcg wasnt dropping I wouldnt have known. They tested my hcg levels since I was 2 weeks behind on the ultrasound. But going by my logs I knew there was no way I was 2 weeks off. Everything pointed to 8 weeks. It just stopped development. Had to have a d&c since my body wasnt processing that the baby wasnt alive after four weeks.

Try not to stress (WAY easier said than done I know 😩) 
Most of the time things are fine, but there’s nothing we can do (again in most cases), some babies just make it and others don’t and it’s no ones fault and certainly not something we can prevent or control. I had a loss at 20 weeks that was a hard forced lesson in terms of control. 
I have two healthy boys that came before and each pregnancy was different but loss of symptoms is not always an indicator - so don’t psych yourself out! Your OB and the nurses line can be a great resource for stats or questions - don’t hesitate to ask.

I don’t think they are overly common compared to miscarriages with symptoms. However I’ve had a missed and I still felt very pregnant. Symptoms can come and go. I’m betting in a couple days you will feel like junk again. So embrace the feeling good while you can.

I believe it’s 1/4 pregnancies. I had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks but I still had all of the symptoms. The odds are in your favor though.. your baby is more than likely perfect.
