Do you think Men should be allowed off work for appointments?

My husbands boss is being a real douche about him taking off to go to any baby appointments. And I don’t expect him to go to everyone of them. But ultrasounds especially, I feel like he needs to go and so does he. His boss is a real AssHole. It makes me so sad that I don’t get experience these things with my husband 😭. He’s obviously really upset too, but we can’t really risk him losing his job with a baby on the way. I’m just so mad/sad/annoyed so many emotions 😡

yes they should be allowed time off for appointments, it's his baby too, and i couldn't imagine going to appointments alone. 😣
especially ultrasounds, those are the most important.

I think they should be able to take off for the important ones like an ultrasound but not all of them. I would be irritated if my husband couldn't come to the ultrasounds atleast, the other appointments are so pointless though so I would rather him skip those and work instead lol.

My boyfriend gets paid on days he doesn’t go to work, his boss is amazing and he will get paid the 2 weeks he’s home with me and baby, no half paycheck or anything he will get his full check as if he worked. If he didn’t get paid then I would just have him go to work instead but luckily he’s got an awesome boss and an awesome job

Are you in the United States? We have this little thing called FMLA. Your husband has the right to be at these appointments and cannot lose his job for it. If he does you can own that company!

It’s definitely difficult not having them there :/ my ultra sound techs have been wonderful have let me FaceTime while he’s at work so in a way he’s there. He just has to sneak away to take the call.

My husband is only home about a week out of every month. I'm used to going alone and he can only sometimes ask off to come to ones that I'll need help with the kids like my one hour GD this time but I do as much as possible my myself. He hasn't been to but maybe 3 appointments in total for all 3 pregnancies. He's gotta provide for us.
