Can you ovulate 2 times in a cycle?

I ovulated on CD 16 and I used an OPK but next day I had EWCM and ovulation pain so I’m sure I o’d. But last night I also had a positive ovulation test?

Answer

You can but it would be within 24 hours of the first egg release. You may have geared up to O and for some reason didn’t so your body is trying again. You may want to try bbt to correlate with your opk strips for a more accurate determation of O. Opk strips will only tell you that you are having an lh surge but doesn’t actually mean you’ll ovulate as we do have months with a surge but never actually ovulate. I’ve honestly used opk strips, got a peak reading but didn’t O until almost 4 days later confirmed with bbt.
