Cartilage pain?

I want my cartilage pierced but everyone says it hurts badly, I have my nose and belly button pierced any advice? Does this hurt more or less?

None of my cartilage piercing have hurt. In fact, I had to ask if they were done because I didnt feel anything at all.

I got an industrial piercing done and it didn’t hurt that much to me. It felt like a hard pinch but the pain didn’t last long at all. It just depends on the person though.

I had mine done with a gun, which is not best practice. It didn’t really hurt though. It was sore to sleep on for a bit.

I pierced my cartilage at home by myself with an embroidery needle and potatoe. Personally it didn't hurt unless I accidentally snagged it in my sleep.

Piercings do not hurt! I have 11. Not a single bit of pain with any and I’ve taken plenty of my friends to my piercer and they go “oh that didn’t hurt st all” piercings go not hurt. They’re quick and easy.

Mine bled a bit, but honestly didn’t hurt much more than my lobes. Just make sure you go to a shop that uses needles and not guns!

I got my cartilage pierced twice at the same time and it was fine. Little pinch but it’s over in a second. And I have no other body mods and absolutely no pain tolerance so you should be fine

I feel like it depends on the person honestly. I know people who say it hurts and other who brush it off. Personally I have both my helix and nose done and my helix hurt like a bitch. My nose was a walk in the park compared to my helix. Maybe it was because I felt the piercer was moving slow, but it fucking hurt. Not only that but the healing was a pain in my ass. With my nose it’s a dull pinch and you’re done. My helix was a super sharp pinch and it lasted for the rest of the day. My helix was hurting for the next 2 weeks and don’t sleep on it! I rolled over on it in my sleep 5 days after getting it done and I kid you not my ear was 2 times it’s normal size. I like my helix and it’s a nice addition, but I doubt I would go back if anything happened to it or to get a second one done.

Its puncturing your body so yes there's going to be some pain that comes with it, but it's not so bad you wont be able to handle it. The sound it makes however is disgusting lol
