I wouldn’t say painful. Uncomfortable for a few seconds but overall not bad. Way less painful than giving birth that’s for sure. I think it totally depends on your doc & body though. Some docs are really good at placing them and others aren’t. Just like someone women have pain and others don’t.

Omg yes. I got mine at 10 weeks pp and it was extremely painful. I don’t know if I would have gone through with it if I had known.

I just got my done 2 hours ago. I took two Aleve before I went. There was a pinch pain while he dialed my cervix and then come cranking but not bad at all.

Definitely hurt, like thought I was going to puke, but worth not getting pregnant! I opted for the arm implant this time.

Everyone is different. I got the Paragard 2 weeks ago for the 1st time and felt nothing. If anything I felt a little sore for 1 day afterwards. Just go in not expecting the worst and you will be fine 😊

I had Paraguard a few years ago. It’s very uncomfortable pinching/tight cramp in your cervix that lasts less than a minute while they insert it. It was worse than I expected, but it only lasts while they’re putting it in, and taking it out didn’t hurt at all
