Am I being petty?

My boyfriend has a bad habit of checking women out in front of me. He makes it super obvious and I told him the other day that it really bothers me because he doesn’t just glance he will stare the entire time we are around that woman. It makes me uncomfortable. He told me that it’s stupid and hella petty to be upset or uncomfortable about that and he just laughed at me. I got so upset that he just laughed in my face about it. Am I wrong? I mean I get men are going to look but it really bothers me.
