Baby registry question?

If almost everything is bought off of your registry, should you add more things? We had a pretty small registry but I’m also having a pretty small shower. I didn’t expect so many things to get purchased. Should I add more to it since I haven’t had my shower yet?

Try to add multiples of things you’ll need a lot of like pampers, wipes, towels, diaper genie refills, bottles. Also you can put gift cards on there so if you are unsure of what you need right now then you’ll have those for later.

You can always add essentials like diapers and wipes, baby body wash and shampoo, diaper cream, if there aren’t other items you need.

Don’t forget to add things like bowls and spoons and sippy cups. You’ll need them before you know it and I’ve noticed a lot of people don’t add them.

People can always buy more: diapers, wipes, gift cards etc. have you put all the clothes on there? Bottles and accessories? Nursery items? Baby carrier? Extras like toy clips? Think long term too: clothes for baby when they’re older, toddler utensils, high chair, teething rings, baby books. Parent items are good too like a baby memory book, parenting books, prenatal massage. Can you tell my registry is massive? Lol

I kept adding things as the list got shorter just so people bought me things I actually needed rather than things I didn’t need just because my registry was empty

I would definitely add some more things, like what everyone else has suggested, and also keep in mind that most places you register at will give you a discount coupon to use on anything left on your registry about 50 days before your EDD. Target is 15% off and Buy Buy Baby is 20% (I think).

Don't forget other essentials like laundry baskets, bags, detergent, etc. Babylist has where you can register for services like cleaning and other stuff

I would say if there are more items you need then go for it! But if it’s items you don’t necessarily need or won’t use then don’t. I think if all of the gifts are purchased and people want to get you something they’d likely do a gift card. That is always nice to have for the future when you need more baby supplies!
