Advise on pain management
Hello ladies, I don’t have much knowledge on pain medications when it comes to giving birth so I’d like to know what options are out there other than the epidural. With my first I had to be induced so my contractions were unbearable to me I took the epidural. It ended up not working very well. I could feel the contractions on half my body also idk if it’s normal but my legs and feet where completely numb I couldn’t feel or move them. They ended up doing my epidural again! And the nurse told me to sit up straight and when she turned around I started falling sideways I almost fell off the bed & she got mad and didn’t understand that I couldn’t stay sitting up on my own. On top of all that I ended up with something called a spinal headache and it was the worse thing ever! I couldn’t even sit up to breastfeed without feeling like my head was going to explode. They gave me a blood patch after and even after a week I still had headaches every now & then & I also had some hallucinations 😐 on top of that the whole experience made my post partum depression worse... I really don’t want to go through that again... what other options are out there to ease the pain.
