What’s your views on a ‘womans place is at home’?

For example a woman should be at home cooking, cleaning and looking after kids while the man goes out to work and provide?

I think that a women's place is wherever she wants to be. It's 2019, not 1950. If she wants to be the breadwinner, a SAHM, work along with her husband, whatever, it's up to her and what she feels is best for her and her family. I think that mindset is outdated

I agree with The other poster, it’s up to the woman, I myself an dying to get back to work, I hate relying on someone else for money, I used to earn more than my husband and now living off what I used to earn in two days, to make it last 2 weeks is so hard. The house is tidy and all but I’m not a clean freak and don’t enjoy cleaning/homemaking. I’d much rather be at work.

If you live in the 1930s maybe. 
Im too independent for that kinda lifestyle, when i lived with an ex, we had to move cities for his promotion and I didn’t have to work as he was earning loads more. He gave me money if i wanted something and paid all the bills. I love cooking so that wasn’t an issue but i had no company whilst he was at work, before i spoke to people i worked with or customers who came into work, i had nobody but him. Yes i had nicer things but It soon became quite lonely. Its no good having fancy designer clothes with nowhere to wear them, he was too tired after working to want a night out. So i never wore that dress or the shoes. I felt stuck and got homesick. I like to work, i get to talk to other people and it gives me other things to talk about. I mean Nobody wants to know that you used 3 medium potatoes instead of 2 big ones in the mash...

If a woman is okay with this and her husband can financially provide for the both of them, I don’t see anything wrong with it. 
I would personally prefer working/providing an income for the household as well, but I was also raised very independent and told to never rely on anyone for anything, so I think that’s partially part of my reasoning. That’s just how I was raised. Others may be raised differently and that’s perfectly fine. Their household, their business.

I mean, my place is in my home...of which I am the sole owner...because I like to relax and drink tea while lounging on my comfy furniture after a long day out in the world working.

For us personally it would be the other way around if I earned enough, he would love to be a stay at home dad 😛 but honestly, we can't afford it if were gonna continue our lifestyle and save up for pensions as well.

If the women is okay with that. I personally would go nuts. We don’t have any babies yet. But I still plan on working after we do. I do all the cooking in our house. He does all the outside/yard stuff. We both take out trash. I do all the cleaning but he’s willing to help I just have bad ocd. I’m more of a 50/50 person. No judgment to anyone who is a SAHM. Just not for me!

That is how is should have been, but because of of the economic situation, some women work to support their husbands. Like me I work to help pay some of the bills, not that I have to, but I don’t like leaving all the weight on my husband. And sometimes I think that what if he lost his job, at least we will have my income till he gets another.
