Overwhelmed

Baby is going on 8 weeks or is 8 weeks I never know how to calculate these things, but anywho. He just cries A LOT. The first two weeks were so perfect, he was on a schedule, no crying, no gas, no fussiness, nothing until I ended up In the hospital with a staph infection and had to pump and dump my breastmilk, and he had to get a bottle and formula! Those three days ruined EVERYTHING! 😩 I just can't wait until he's about 3-4 months to see this cease or die down some. My oldest was colic but not as bad as my young one now. When I got out of the hospital he struggled latching again so I stuck with pumping and bottle feeding and soon my supply went low, now I still struggle even after taking fenugreek and blessed thistle 4 times a day! WHICH I see him sometimes having issues with my breast milk! Can't win !!! He does good on soy I just don't like his Bowels on formula. PLUS I can't afford formula! Who can?!?! that ish is expensive! And doesn't even last a full week! 😕 rant over

What has helped a lot for us is Gerber sooth every night- it's expensive, get a coupon. And little remedies gas drops before feedings, no more than 12 times a day and must wait two hours between. It's really helped. My doctor also suggested gripe water which I haven't tried yet. Good luck!

Boo. I use the Gerber soothe drops because he breast feeds. I hear finding the right formula can be tough. He struggled with it when I had to supplement. Little remedies gas drops isn't mylicon. It's the same active ingredient as gas ex. It only really works for us if I do it before feeding.

Ive tried mylicon drops for him and chamomile tea like his doctor suggested he's now on enfamil soy because Ferber soothe was not working 😪

Oh how I remember the overwhelmed feeling! Our fourth would cry nonstop for hours. I love her dearly, but it was so hard to enjoy her as a baby. This too shall pass... Stay strong!
