Anyone else doing their hair & makeup for their induction ?😂

I understand completely why some people think it’s ridiculous, I’m not doing anything super crazy or over the top & I realize my makeup will need touched up at some point but I just want to go into it feeling good & also want to get good pictures bc my family is constantly taking pictures of everything & I don’t want to look back on them thinking how gross I looked or not want to share them on social media or get mad when I see they shared an ugly photo of me (they never ask first), my mom thinks I’m crazy but I doubt I’m the only one? 😂

No. I think I would have looked worse with the makeup smeared all over my face than without.

Yes! I wasn’t induced but both my pregnancies so far as soon as my water broke and we were about to head to hospital I showered and did my hair and makeup! And I plan on for my third as well always have to look good for those pictures 😆

No because labor is like running a marathon. There is lots of sweating and is very messy.

I was induced with my first. I didn’t do my makeup but I had my nails painted (they’re always painted) and my hair was in two French braids. Personally unless you have waterproof makeup I’d skip it and if your going to do anything with your hair make sure it’s out of your face and my preference is off my neck. With my second I showered and did my hair in a ballerina bun before heading to the hospital. You can always take your makeup with you and put it on after.

Yes! I’ve been in prodromal labor (yay me) for three days. I went and got eyelash extensions and my hair done lol and my husband bought me a stand up mirror so I can do my makeup at the hospital Incase I don’t have time to do it at home 🙃 imma be one of those girls lol

Yeah, like you said nothing crazy but definitely a going over my hair with some good product & a straightener & using a bit of foundation & stuff (im using waterproof makeup highly recommend) nothing wrong with wanting to feel good or get some good photos, also even if your makeup were to mess up you can always get more photos after your first shower! Do what makes you feel good!☺️

I did my makeup and braided my hair so it’d be out of my face and not get too sweaty. This time around if I’m induced, I’ll put makeup on and do my hair. I also have lash extensions now, so if I go into labor naturally, I’ll at least feel good in that regard. When I was getting close to my due date (before my induction was scheduled), I was washing & curling my hair almost every day as well as putting on makeup. I wanted to make sure my hair was clean when I went in bc I didn’t know when I’d feel up to washing it post-labor.

I was induced & that pain is seriously no joke, even the epidural didn’t help towards the end. Make up was the last thing in my mind lol

I have very red blotchy skin, so I put on my normal powder to even put my skin tone. It’s very light but makes all the difference to me. It’s vain, but I do not feel comfortable without it. I put that on for my induction and also wore a bit of water proof mascara and put on approximately 50 layers of chapstick 😂. I didn’t bother with my hair cause it’s naturally pretty tame. However I wouldn’t judge anyone who does or doesn’t do their hair and makeup. It’s vulnerable time in your life, so if being done up makes you feel more equipped to deal, then go for it

I’m going to at least shower, dry my hair and wave it with a straightener (literally takes me 20 minutes and will stay even after pulling it up). I’m not doing my makeup because I never wear foundation anyways, but my lashes will be done. I have my next extension fill Tuesday and I’m due Friday. Even if he comes this weekend my lashes still look good thankfully.
