Hyperemesis?!!!!!!

Who else here has severe morning sickness? I was throwing up every 30 mins and couldnt keep fluids down. Almost went to ER until we got Zofran. All i could do was suck on ice cubes! I was prescribed Zofran but im scared i have to rely on it...but heard it causes defects! Please help! I was able to drink and have apple sauce this morning.

The zofran controversy is based on a study written by the makers of zofrans competition. If your OB thinks it will help, trust them.

I've taken diclegis my whole pregnancy for debilitating nausea. I don't now what I would do without it! It's one of those things where you're damned if you do damned if you don't , I know plenty of women who too zofran throughout their entire pregnancies and babies were born perfect. If it helps you feel better if take it for sure!

I took zofran and my baby is perfectly healthy.

I was diagnosed with HG at 4 weeks and ended up losing 7 pounds. My doctor ordere at home IV fluid replacement for four days which was awful because the IV away in in such a way that I couldn't hold my baby!  I've also been on a Zofran pump for the last 4 weeks. Hoping that I can be weaned off of it soon...

The worst part is that my boss asked if I knew when I would be 100% again!  I'm sure my husband and daughter would like to know that answer first.

You could ask your doctor about Diclectin, it has a category A rating during pregnancy and Zofran has a category B rating.

Zofran is usually given to cancer patients under going chemo and radiation therapy to help with nausea, my OB told me it would be a last resort during pregnancy if all other alternatives had failed.

Dont take Zofran!!!! Stop right now! My daughter came out with defects because of it she has very bad Epilepsy. I have hyperemesis again this is my second pregnancy. Not taking anything dont want to risk it.
