So long story short my daughter's been working towards getting a dwarf hamster. My SO and i agreed that she has proven she deserves one, however we were doing a bunch of travelling over the summer... we told her when we get back from California that she would be able to get it.. we got back the 22nd of July and we started back to work the 23rd. I told my daughter she needed to wait one more week because I got my payday today so today was supposed to be the special day she finally got her dwarf hamster!!!!

Well.... right after her class we drove right over to petland, it said the location has been moved two miles east which I did not find any problem with so we drove 2 miles east to the new location... we get to Petland and the location is not yet open😢

My daughter is 8 so she is still young and let me tell you, PETLAND gave my daughter her first heartbreak 😔 💔

I ended up taking her to get a milkshake cuz you know milkshakes fix everything!!!! I told her that she's still getting her hamster we just have to wait for them to open... this little girl has been so patient..

No joke she has waited for over a month to get this thing and the second we FINALLY GET TO GO they're not even open🤦‍♀️😭

I feel so horrible
