What a weekend

So where to begin. Yesterday I had called my OB. She had me go into L&D so she could check my cervix and try and monitor contractions. Well she felt my cervix was softer than Friday morning. She decided to transfer me to a bigger hospital to be seen by MFM, get a cervical length, and go from there. She decided to not let me drive, and made me go via ambulance. Once I got to the hospital, it was a shit show. They asked for a urine sample. Which sat sealed on the counter, and never was touched. I asked for ice water and was told I needed to wait until the doctor gave the okay, it took almost four hours to get the okay to have water. A resident and Attending took me for a cervical length ultrasound. It took 7 minutes for them to find my cervix. Once found, they couldn’t agree on where it started and where it ended. And took measurements, based on a shadow covered cervix that they could barely see. While there I was told that I didn’t seem to be in pain and to be having contractions I looked “rather comfortable.” I was treated as though I had made up the entire situation, because everyone wasn’t to spend Saturday in a hospital right? 🙄 So they called MFM and consulted over the phone, which could’ve been done at the original hospital, my doctor wanted me to be seen by MFM. So they decided to discharge me. After yelling and fighting and realizing that neither of them knew anything. (I was told there are no meds aside from the Makena to stop or prevent preterm labor) I told them I would call my own OB, which I did. She had me sign the discharge paper work and go back to the first hospital. Since then the OB call OB checked my cervix last night, so she can compare it this morning, and started giving me meds every four hours. Also I got to see the nurse who held Ella and I back in February.
