14DPIUI Question

I’m 14DPIUI on my 1st medicated IUI cycle. I was patient and waited until today to test, but just got a BFN using FMU. 😞 RE said to stop taking progesterone if hpt test was negative, but I don’t feel comfortable doing that as if I’m actually pregnant, stopping the progesterone would induce a period.

So my question is, should I make an appointment tomorrow for a blood test to confirm I’m pregnant or not before stopping the progesterone?

Also, is there any hope I could still have a BFP after having a BFN with FMU on 14DPIUI?

I’m just so sad and confused right now, so I appreciate any advice or insight anyone is willing to give me. Thank you.
